“Don’t let one bump in the road slow you down”

I just got back from my Family Intervention class.  It’s a “pre-graduate course level” class as my professor likes to call it.  She speaks fast, hardly repeats things, and provides a whole glory of reading.  Yay for future graduate school classes!

Our first exam is this Thursday, so kindly, at the beginning of class, she goes over a little bit of what is going to be on the exam.  It’s a 5 question essay exam, and we have an hour and 15 minutes to complete it.  Sure.  I got this, and since it’s a course that’s intriguing, I should be able to elaborate.  (Encouraging myself boosts up the self-confidence).  So anyway, she goes on to say that we have to bring in our blue books.  Say what?  Apparently, it is a book that we write our essays in for the test.  Never have I ever had to have one of these, so I raise my hand and ask where do I buy such a book.  Her response in the most sarcastic voice I have ever heard (and I’ve heard a whole lot of sarcasm)…”Have you never had an essay test before? HA, welcome to your first one!”  I cut in and say, “I’ve had essay tests before, but the paper has always been provided”.  ”No, no, no…nothing like this. HA. HA. HA.”

Ok enough laughs, lady.  Almost every face turns and looks at me like I’m an idiot.  To me, it was not a difficult question.  But thanks for answering.  Can’t wait to have my first blue book experience!
